LE MANS CLASSIC 2022 : FROM JUNE 30 TO JULY 3
Le Mans Classic 2022 will be held from June 30th to July 3rd. Expected for the last four years, the event will do things in a big way by opening its doors on Thursday afternoon.
Created in 2002 by Peter Auto, in association with the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, Le Mans Classic offers a great retrospective of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The event, which was acclaimed from its first edition, has continued to grow until it attracted 195,000 spectators in 2018. It is the largest gathering of vintage cars with 600 racing cars on the track and 8,500 vintage cars in the specially designed general area.
Organized every two years, Le Mans Classic was initially scheduled to celebrate its 10th edition in July 2020. The health crisis decided otherwise, so this 10th event will also mark the 20th anniversary of its creation. For the occasion, some novelties will punctuate the weekend, starting with an advanced opening of the circuit on Thursday afternoon, to allow the public to attend the technical and administrative verifications. Another great first, the Endurance Racing Legends series, which brings together the GTs and prototypes of the years 1990-2000, will take place in competition and no longer in demonstration as was the case in 2018. Finally, the 40th anniversary of the creation of the Group C will be celebrated as it should be. More information to come...
The spectators who have already booked their seats before the two successive postponements (2020, 2021) will of course be able to enjoy the event in 2022
