Le Mans Classic 2023
Presentation
Escape to another era at Le Mans Classic: from 29 June to 2 July.
Created in 2002 by Peter Auto, in association with the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, Le Mans Classic offers a wonderful retrospective of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The event, which was acclaimed from its very first edition, has continued to grow, attracting 195,000 spectators in 2018.
It is the largest gathering of classic cars with 600 racing cars on the track and 8,500 classic cars in the specially equipped general enclosure.
Organised every two years, Le Mans Classic was originally scheduled to celebrate its 10th edition in July 2020. The health crisis having decided otherwise, this 10th event will also mark the 20th anniversary of its creation.
For the occasion, new features will punctuate the weekend, starting with the opening of the track being brought forward to Thursday afternoon, to allow the public to attend the technical and administrative scrutineering. Another great first, the Endurance Racing Legends series, which brings together the GTs and prototypes of the years 1990-2000, will take place in competition and no longer in demonstration as was the case in 2018. Finally, the 40th anniversary of the creation of Group C will be celebrated as it should be. More information to come...
